The programme for GS24 will focus on new research evidence, fresh analytical approaches, and evidence-based practices to better understand when, how and why biological, gender, and social inequalities impact negatively on quality of research outcomes. In addition, GS24 will discuss where fresh actions are needed to make the necessary improvements. The GS24 Partnership includes Portia, the German Research Foundation (DFG), Elsevier, and Elsevier Foundation, National Science Foundation (NSF), Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ), Institute of Gender and Health - Canadian Institutes of Health Research (IGH-CIHR), University of Ottawa, and Canadian Science Policy Centre (CSPC).

Joining in black Nordic study: an exploration of radical collaborative methods

The black and African diaspora in the Nordics create knowledge, although this mostly happens outside academia. ‘Black study’ refers to this praxis: a combination of non-disciplinary, non-institutionalized, embodied and collaborative knowledge creation on the condition of blackness under Nordic exceptionalism. In this talk Oda-Kange Midtvåge Diallo will share reflections from her PhD dissertation process as well as new possible paths of knowledge creation and collaboration across art, activism, and community organizing.
